Pick up the Phone is the first release from Philadelphia’s A Good Host. PUtP is a glitchy, lo-fi dark synthwave EP made using pocket synths, KORG Gadget for the Nintendo Switch, and a homemade microphone assembled from a phone receiver. Each song is about telephones in some way, and the vision board for the album contains John Hughes movies, Tina Weymouth, Trent Reznor, rotary phones, Mark Mothersbaugh, Stardew Valley, Cristina, Mommie Dearest, chillwave, and office reception desk layouts.
